Welcome to the Hash Roster On-Line, the world's largest Hash House Harriers directory, which provides a gateway to all the world's hashes. The data in this directory are used to publish the Hash Roster unabridged hard copy directory and the contact lists printed in Global Trash magazine and InterHASHional News.
To update an existing hash or update/add a contact, find that hash's directory webpage using the search tool on the left and you will find links to the update form for the hash on the main tab and the contact manager on the contact tab. What's New? You now have up to 5000 characters for the remarks section. Remember to put the summary and important stuff in the first paragraph that will go into the hard copy directory.
To add a NEW hash to the directory, make sure it does not exist already! First, search by location as well as name. Then, if you are are sure it is not in there, click on Add a New Hash in the search tool and fill out the form. Don't forget to add contacts later with the contact manager link on its directory page.
Since 1993, Global Trash hash published a directory of Hash House Harriers groups around the world. Even before GT, the editor began a directory when he was German Nash OnSec with the German Nash Trash. This effort grew with his next periodical EuroTrash, which eventually turned into the magazine you now know as Global Trash today. In July 1995 GT put up its first website and the directory was put on line in September that year. The oldest international hash publication, InterHashional News, provided a hash directory since 1984. GT provided data for IHN at the end of Mr. Spock's long editorship, then later took over publication, continuing to provide periodic directories.
The World HHH Database Project combines the efforts of hashes, hashers and directory keepers around world to provide this data. Click on the Database Project link to read more about the project and get a free search tool like the one in the left column for your own website.
Click on the Hash Statistics link to check out the numbers and breakdowns of hash groups by geography and more. Enjoy a bit of trivia that you can share with other hashers at the pub or On-In!
